Moodle LMS and our platform provides users with tools to ensure the protection of their data, information, and operations. The privacy features integrated into Moodle LMS ensure compliance with the GDPR and local privacy legislation requirements.

However, compliance and safety responsibilities are shared with the organizations controlling each Moodle installation. We strongly recommend that institutions and organizations implement the following security measures to help maintain high standards of data protection and user privacy:

Develop comprehensive policy documents, including a site policy for guests, to maintain transparency with learners, educators, and site visitors regarding data collection, use, and disclosure practices.

Implement age-of-consent checks to protect digital minors and manage access for those requiring parental consent to use the learning management system.

Establish a centralized system to handle data requests from learners and monitor retention periods.
